Laptop Sleeve
Posted by Vicky
I would like to buy a laptop sleeve. You know, a thin zip up case to protect the laptop from scratches. There are so many brands to choose from but most look very similar. I don't want to spend much so I am trying to do research to find the best one at a reasonable price.

Netbook
Posted by Vicky
We have a desktop and a laptop computer but we would like to buy a netbook. We have seen many different brands and models online and in the stores but we aren't sure which one is right for us. It seems like most are a 10.1 display. That seems pretty small but I think we could get used to it. If you have a suggestion on which netbook we should buy please let me know. Labels: Technology
Compost Tumbler
Posted by Vicky
Well, hopefully spring will be here before we know it. Winter has been long and the smells of spring are approaching quickly. We can then get out into the yard and whip it into shape. A compost tumbler would be a nice addition to our yard equipment. The ease and convenience would be nice. May have to look into that.
Max Lucado's Antonio Meets His Match DVD Review
Posted by Vicky
I remember having very choices when it came to finding children's videos with a good message when my kids were younger. Today, it seems there are more choices, but I think it's still important to be picky and only choose those movies that have a good message. I recently had the opportunity to review Antonio Meets His Match, the newest DVD to release from Max Lucado's Hermie and Friends Series. We have one of the other movies from this series and really like it...so I was hopeful that we'd enjoy this one just as much.
Having young grandchildren, it's very important to me that I have a collection of wholesome movies to choose from. After having had the opportunity to watch this DVD, I can tell you that it's one I'm proud to have on my shelf! The kids seem to really enjoy it. I'm not sure how much they got from the message of 'being a good neighbor', but I still feel like some of had to of sunk in. As they get older, it will make even more sense...and loving thy neighbor is an important thing for us all to remember.
I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it was animated very well...it didn't look cheaply made at all! I also liked the focus of the story. Antonio was the head ant in a way, because all the other ants looked up to him. When foreign ants moved into the garden, he wanted them to leave, but God reminded him that he must love his neighbors. It's definitely a hard lesson, but one I think all children should learn and hear over and over again. I would highly recommend this DVD to any parent, or grandparent!
~I received this DVD in return for my honest opinion. This was not a paid post.
ipods
Posted by Vicky
Technology has come so far. I can remember when we would go for walks carrying our Disc man. We thought they were small and convenient. Now you find the ipods. They hold a huge quantity of information. From music to photos. They are quite the thing. My daughter-in-law received one and just loves it. They have a docking station for it so they can enjoy it at home also. What a neat invention. Labels: Technology
Daily Deal
Posted by Vicky
What is the daily deal? I know on line you can find a daily deal by looking at certain websites. There are several that we keep our eye on each day. We have actually found some pretty good stuff that way. It's always nice to save money and find a great deal in the process.
