Media Engine

Posted by Vicky

I recently came across a site that I had never seen before. It was unique enough that I'd pass along some info about it, especially for those who have an interest in music, movies and games . My youngest son sure does and I really think it's a site he would utilize a lot! So what is it? Well, from what I understand it's actually the web's first Media Engine that always you to express how you feel about a variety of music, movies and games by submitting in depth Game Reviews . In spending a few minutes browsing it, I found that it was easy to use and find different things like Action Game Reviews and more. Check it out if you get the chance.

Long Day!

Posted by Vicky

What a long day! It sure feels good to finally sit down. This morning I was up far too early to head to a class I needed to attend. After that, Bill met me and we did our grocery shopping. That always takes up much of the afternoon...it's a big job! I guess it's got to get done sometime though. We're finally home, eaten supper and resting on our comfortable couches! I think it will be an early night for us, as we're both really tired. A nap is sounding good right now.

Shopping for Tactical Gear

Posted by Vicky

My husband used to do more tactical work in his job. Now he holds another position in law enforcement, but at the time he really enjoyed it. They even had pretty nice uniforms to wear. Little did I know at the time, but there are actually places to go and buy these types of uniforms and gears necessary. Recently I came across one of these sites. It's a Tactical Gear website which offers everything you could ever need when it comes to this line of work. Once you see all they have to offer you'll realize it's your one stop shop to all your tactical needs.

Have you ever been looking for tactical boots, Blackhawk Pants, bags, hats or something else? If so...it's all here in one place!! If you have a moment I would definitely urge you to head over to their site at http://www.lapolicegear.com/ and see what you think. I have a feeling you'll be as impressed as I was with not only the products they offer, but also the user friendly layout of the site. Entering their homepage I was thrilled with the ease of navigation it allowed. You can shop by category or brand which means faster shopping and easier browsing. Take a look and see what you think. You won't be sorry you did!

Ever Changing Grandchildren

Posted by Vicky

It's so much fun to watch our grandchildren grow. They are ever changing. It's nice that their parents are so good to keep us informed of all that they are learning to do. Recently they both started to walk and talk more. Kaelyn our granddaughter just started to sip through a straw. It looks so cute to see her little lips wrapped around it. It seems there is something new going on every week. They are growing more independent as each day passes. We feel so blessed to be able to share in this process. They are the absolute best! :) I am sure every grandparent would agree......

Online Payday Loans

Posted by Vicky

Times are tough right now for many people. The economy is not doing well and daily I am seeing more and more people that it's affecting. It's very sad to see, but at least there is help out there. I recently learned of a short term emergency loan program that helps provide short term financial solutions to those who are struggling in these difficult times. It's definitely worth taking a look as I found their site to be very informative and user friendly. See what you think if you're in need of Online Payday Loans.

Winters in the Midwest

Posted by Vicky

We live in the midwest, which means that much of the year we are faced with very harsh winters. The reality of the winter months is an increase in heating bills. Many of us do what we can to keep the cost down, but at times that can be very difficult...especially with temperatures that dip down into the negative 20's some nights. Although it can be somewhat of a bummer to have higher bills, the most important thing is that people stay warm when it is that cold. To do this we all must ensure that we have reliable heating systems...those which will get us through the winter months. Whether it's through an electric heating system or somethign else...make sure it's in proper working order or get it fixed.

Our New President

Posted by Vicky

Everyday we are hearing the new plans President Obama is planning to implement. Whether people like him and his ideas or not we all need to be in prayer that he and his staff will lead us in the right direction. We need to respect his position. It is not a job I would care to have, I know that. I am sure the Bush family is happy to be out of the presidency, as it's a stressful position and one I'm sure you can only do for so long. I wish them well in the life they will lead from here on.

Reduce Your Debt!

Posted by Vicky

No matter what news channel you're watching, it seems the number one thing we're hearing about is the economy and how it's affecting so many people! Many are in need of financial help, as they are losing their jobs and unable to make payments. Those with big debt need to consolidate, but not in the form of simply getting more personal loans. That's when a company like Fast Debt Freedom Now is so great!! They can help you consolidate your debts and decrease it up to 50% without having to resort to a personal loan. Isn't that great?!

Debt can be so overwhelming, so to have a service like this that can help is amazing. They can reduce balancing, help people avoid bankruptcy, consolidate debt with a consolidation loan, and so much more! If you're looking to reduce your debt and get your life back on track this is definitely a company you should look into.

American Idol Fan

Posted by Vicky

I don't know about you, but my husband and I sure enjoy American Idol. It seems each season we enjoy it more and more. We have many shows we watch over a weeks time, but I have to admit that American Idol is probably the one I enjoy the most. It's so fun to watch...from beginning to end. Right now we're just in the beginning of the season where contestants are trying to make it through to Hollywood. It's fun to hear the different styles of singing and see what the outcome is. I enjoy this part of the season, but am glad it's coming to an end, because I like the Live, competitive part of the show even more.

Halloween Costumes

Posted by Vicky

Halloween is a holiday that many people take part in...both young and old. This last Halloween we were up visiting our granddaughter as it was her first Halloween. We went trick or treating with her and saw many parents dressed in Costumes along with their children. Our daughter and son in law thought this would be fun to do sometime, but didn't know where they'd be able to find adult costumes. I did some looking and happened to come across the Costume Hub website. They have so many costumes to choose from for both kids and adults! I thought the Greek Goddess Costume would be cute for my daughter...it's probably my favorite. This is definitely a site I will recommend to them as they start looking for next year. In fact, it's a site I would recommend to anyone looking. They have such a variety of costumes to offer and their prices are reasonable as well. What's even better is that their site is set up in a way which makes it easy to shop for the things you need. If you're in search for a great halloween costume, either Sexy Halloween Costumes or maybe Kids Halloween Costumes , this is the place to go. Check it out today and see what you think...you won't be sorry you did.

Our Grandbabies

Posted by Vicky

Our little Grandchildren are so sweet. They're both on the go and talking so much more since they turned one. We get to see and hear our grandson on the phone and over Skype, as he doesn't live as close as we would like. Soon he will though, and that will be wonderful! Our granddaughter lives very close and we see her quite often. Recently she was visiting and we got to hear her combining some words. She has even begun to say things like "where'd it go?". It's pretty cute to see her mannerisms and to hear her saying more things. Our son in law was actually able to catch her on video doing this and I just had to share. She's saying "where's the ball?".....

Drivers For Windows Website

Posted by Vicky

I think searching for blogs is a lot of fun, especially those which concentrate on a specific subject offering helpful information. Have you found that you enjoy this as well??? I just enjoy browsing them when I get the chance. Oh, How wonderful technology is. Right?! For instance, at one time I was looking for information on Drivers for Windows....specifically how to install and uninstall them. I did some searching and I happened to come across the very best blog for Drivers For Windows at drivers-windows.net. I was not only impressed with the user friendliness of the site (which is a very important aspect in my opinion) and how easy it was to find information and navigate, but more importantly the quality of the information provided.

So, Whether you're looking for information for a specific driver or topic like the Archos A700 portable media player, or information on reinstalling drivers...this is the site for you! That's right, it's all here! You'll definitely be happy you took the time to visit it, as there is a wealth of information there that is easy to read and understand. I appreciated this very much! If you have a moment, head over there and check it out for yourself. You won't be sorry you did.

Reality Television

Posted by Vicky

I enjoy watching a few shows during the week, especially the reality TV ones like American Idol and The Bachelor. The Bachelor is a show that I've watched over the years, and although it's definitely a different dating show...it is pretty interesting most season. I am really enjoying this season and it's on tonight! We're getting down to fewer girls and I am interested to see how the show goes tonight. I don't get a lot of time to sit at night, so when these shows come on it's a nice excuse. :)

Our oldest son, Josh and his family live states away. They are job searching closer to home now. We are hoping they will be back in the area this year sometime. With that will come a lot of work for them. They may be looking for moving trucks and help in packing up. Even though this time can be stressful, it will be worth it all. They are very excited about the future!

Wall.E

Our son and his wife talked about getting a dog. They have recently moved into an apartment complex where they are allowing them to have pets now. They were so excited at Christmas time because they knew that when they arrived back home they would be going to seek out a dog. They went to a Cocker Spaniel Rescue, where they found Wall.E. He is 7 years old and such a sweetheart. He is very mild tempered and he and Emry (their 1 year old son) are getting along great! We haven't met him yet, but he sure is a cutie!

Romantic Cancun Vacation

Over the years my family has enjoyed many vacations together. My husband and I have taken a few trips alone and appreciate those vacations also. I think it would be fun to look into a romantic cancun vacation. A location with white-sand beaches like the Riviera Maya sounds appealing. The Karisma Hotels offer a collection of resorts. The newest resort is a Gourmet-Inclusive. We enjoy food and this place sounds awesome! Along with great food they are a luxurious and classy accommodation. With the beach beds, beachside bar swings, hot tubs, hammocks, swim-up rooms with ocean views and beautiful sunsets, we are sure to have a pleasurable time. It sounds like a place to check out.

Gotta Love Winter

Posted by Vicky

Well, I have to say that aside from the negative temps...the weather today is really quite nice. Over the past week we've gotten so much snow. It was not fun to drive in or be out in for that matter. Although I'm not one to enjoy bitter cold temps either, I'd rather have that than a winter storm. I'm hoping, along with everyone else here in the midwest that this cold weather will warm up soon so that we can enjoy going outside more. Winters are long here, but do they have to be unbearable?!!

Big Reef Aquarium

Posted by Vicky

I have always thought it would be fun to have a big reef aquarium in our home. I've seen some in others homes and really think it's a neat thing. I love watching all the fish...especially the exotic ones that you don't get the chance to see very often. I know my son in law has always wanted something like this in his home as well...so just for fun I did some looking to see where we could buy salt water fish like this. I came across a great site which offers great deals on all sorts of saltwater tank necessities including fish, corals and more!!

In looking at this site and the Los Angeles fish store I was truly amazed at not only their selection and prices, but also the guarantee they offer. They offer a 14 day live guarantee which means you don't have to worry that you're going to get a fish and it will die right away. I think this is great and not something you see very often. I also appreciated their very user friendly site and the ease of navigation. I think this is one that my son in law would enjoy checking out as well. For anyone looking to get a big reef aquarium in their home, do some searching and you'll find great promotions and deals here so you can buy live coral .

Pets in the family....

Posted by Vicky

Bill and I were the first to get a pet in our family. We have had Zoe for about 7 years now and she's been such a joy!! She's a wonderful addition to our family and we love her to pieces. For the most part she's very well behaved and extremely well trained!! She's mild mannered and just enjoys lounging around and sleeping. Before we had got her, we heard Bichon's were great dogs, and boy was that right! She doesn't shed and she's sweet.

Then, not all that long ago, our son Jake got a pet. He bought a beautiful little kitty who he named Mylie! She's a sweetie and sure is great company. He loves her so much and spoils her rotten...as we all do with our little pets. :) I enjoy getting see her when he's around.

Josh and Di went home from Christmas and decided that it was time for them to get a pet too....Wall.e is the newest addition to their family...a Cocker Spaniel. We obviously have not met him yet, as they live in Texas, but from what we hear and have seen in pictures he's a sweetie too. He barely ever barks and enjoys lounging around like Zoe.

We're a growing family and I love it!! Scott and Jen are the only ones who don't have a pet and I don't think they will be getting one anytime soon. They do enjoy being around all the animals though which is nice.

My youngest son Jake purchased a Mazda RX8 last spring. It was a beautiful car. He just loved it, but he found it had a problem. The car was not meant to be driven in the harsh winter weather. It didn't handle well at all on the ice or snow. Jake didn't feel safe in the vehicle. So, last week he went and traded it in on a red 2006 BMW. It is such a nice car. It is solid and an all wheel drive. He can get around and now feels safe while traveling. It is going to be a great car for him. It looks something like this picture.

Looking for Health Insurance??

Posted by Vicky

With the way our economy is these days you hear of many people having to go without health insurance. If you don't get a deal through your job or a spouse's job...it can be very difficult to afford. Even with a plan, if it's not a very good one, it can be quite spendy as well. Thankfully we have always had terrific health insurance for our family. The premiums are affordable, as well as the deductibles and percentages due. I feel for those who aren't in that situation however, and know that they deserve to find a company like Kaiser Health Insurance. I happened to come across their site today and was impressed with the plans that they offer. I would say that their family plans would be of most interest to me, however they have a variety of plans to offer that would suit many different situations.

Kaiser Permanente California is definitely a company worth looking into if you're in search for a better plan and one that is more affordable. I found their site to be extremely user friendly and easy to navigate and I know you will as well. If you have a moment, head over there today and check out Kaiser Permanente .

MYA Cosmetic Surgery is the site and you'll be amazed at all they have to offer!! Whether it's liposuction, facial surgery or even breast augmentation surgery...they do it all!!

Breast augmentation is probably the one you hear most about, as it's a procedure many women want to have. In looking more into this specific surgery, I found that it's one of the safest and allows for a fairly quick recovery. They have the best surgeons working at MYA which really puts one's mind at ease as well. That's probably what puts MYA above the rest, is their experience and knowledgeable surgeons.

If you'd like to learn more about them and all that they have to offer, take a look at their site today. You won't be sorry you did. Not only will you find a very user friendly site, but also one that offers a wealth of information to help you make the best, and most informed decision possible!

The Best Online Shopping

Posted by Vicky

Now easier and quicker then ever. Your online shopping can be a breeze. With shopWiki you will find what ever you are looking for and at a great price. This site will supply you with products you are needing at some of the best prices. They search and find stores that are carrying that product and give you the location and cost. You will find more products from a variety of stores which in turn will save you money.
For example if you love Elvis Presley and collect cookie jars like I do, then you just type in that information and it will walk you right to the stores you will find them at and the cost you would pay. Or maybe you are a collector of baseball cards like my oldest son. It's so easy to search and find the stores carrying that information and the prices for each item.
Give it a try. You'll find the site to be user friendly and a great way to shop and save money at the same time.

Zoe

Posted by Vicky

Before all of our guests arrived for our family Christmas, we decided to take some pictures by our tree. Zoe joined me in this one. She was not too sure about all of the business going on in our home. She is use to it being pretty quiet. With over 20 people and a cat besides, she was wore out.

Tankless Water Heater

Posted by Vicky

We have lived in our home for over twenty five years. In that time we have replaced most of our appliances and redone many things. Our water heater is one of the last appliances that have not been replaced as of yet. We know the day is coming and we are beginning to shop. They now have a new tankless water heater on the market. I think it would be interesting and worth our time to check them out before buying.

Capresso

Posted by Vicky

We have just spent a week with all of our children and grand children home. It is such a special time. We don't get to all see each other, but maybe once a year. In the evenings we decided to have tea, coffee, cappuccino or hot cocoa. It was a treat. I think it would be fun to own a capresso coffee maker or espresso machine. Next year we could all enjoy some awesome drinks.

Pa-Kitty

Posted by Vicky

Our youngest son, Jake has a kitty. Her name is Mylie. All of the kids were home for a week and Jake brought Mylie also. We have a dog, Zoe. They don't seem to like each other very much. Zoe gets very jealous and Mylie is on the defensive all the time. Mylie found a safe place to hang out. If you were wondering where the cat went, you just had to check the bathroom sink. Our grand daughter Kaelyn loves to call her pa-kitty. She was checking out Mylie's new home also.
