Extended Stay Hotels
Posted by Vicky
On one of our last trips down to Texas, we were noticing all of the different hotel chains out there. There were several extended stay hotels through out the states we were traveling. The prices looked reasonable and the appearance clean. There must be more of a demand then ever before. I suppose if you are going to be in one location for very long, then a kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom would be nice. The things they come up with these days. It's amazing! Labels: Travel
Kaelyn

I have been having the best day! I am getting to take care of my grand daughter for the day. She is such a sweet little thing. Kaelyn is about 17 months old now and loves to play and talk. She is so predictable. She came about 8 AM this morning and had breakfast with me. Then we played a bit and she was ready for lunch. She and Zoe (our dog) both were letting me know that it was time to eat. ;) We sat down together and had lunch and then she went down for her afternoon nap. She never fusses. She lays right down and goes to sleep. She will be getting up here shortly and we'll have a snack. She is usually on the same timely schedule. She does so well. I think I hear her calling her Mayme. I better run. :)
Colonix

Most of us have become more health conscious in the past years. It surrounds us each day. We are seeing it in the papers, magazines and hearing it on the TV and radio. What are the healthiest steps to take in caring for your body? Is it Colonix or diet pills? Maybe it's eating patterns and exercise. Which ever route you decide to explore. Be sure to do your research. Don't trust the only body you have been given, to just any products out there. Labels: Health

Diet Pills
Posted by Vicky
As we get older we see our weight fluctuate. It is not a fun thing to deal with for most of us. In my earlier years I would gain a few pounds over the winter months and naturally lose them over the summer time. The times have changed. Suddenly it is not so easy to shed those unwanted pounds. Diets, diet pills and exercise do not always seem to take care of the problem. I know that I will keep at it though. Labels: Health
Uncle Herman you will be missed.....
Posted by Vicky
Labels: Family
It has been a tough week. My uncle Herman passed away on Sunday. He was an uncle I grew up around and was probably closest too. He was an awesome man who loved the Lord. In gathering for his visitation and funeral, I was able to see many of my cousins and loved ones. It was a bitter-sweet time for us all. By the end of the day I realized just how blessed I am to have such an awesome family. Thank you Lord.
San Diego Hotel
Posted by Vicky
Throughout the years my family and I have thoroughly enjoyed travel. One location we have not spent time at is San Diego. I did research on taking a trip there in the future. I called a local San Diago Hotel to find out more about the area. We do feel that this is definitely somewhere that we would like to spend some time at in the near future. There is a lot to do there and the climate is wonderful. Labels: Travel
Computer Memory
Posted by Vicky
We have gotten use to having more then one computer in the house. They sure come in handy. We now wonder how we ever did without them. I keep a calendar on them and so much more. I have my online business, finances, pictures, email to name a few. We have found however that there are times that we are in need of more computer memory. It is easier then ever to purchase and be on our way once again. Technology has sure changed. Labels: Technology
Coupon Savers!

Are you interested in saving money? I think that most people are today. With the economy looking as it does, I'll take money saving tips. My son and his wife called and was sharing with us how they have recently been saving on purchases they have been making. They go out and pick up some Sunday papers and clip the coupons. They then research what sales are going on in the different stores around the area. Between the sale price of the item and using their newly clipped coupons, this is what they achieved. The total product value was over $140. They spent $20.41 for everything! They were quite excited as you can imagine! Diana had heard about this through an Oprah show and thought they would give it a shot. I think it's paying off, don't you?
Burglar Alarm
Posted by Vicky
You know, you hate to think of how many different ways the economy can affect areas of our lives. We have been hearing that the crime rate has begun to rise. We were talking about how we might protect our home and belongings. They say a dog is a good detourant and also flood lights. A good burglar alarm system is also a smart thing to concider. We are looking into a few of these ideas for our families safty.
Condo
Posted by Vicky
The economy is uncertain at this time. It seemed to begin with the housing market, which in turn affected the stock market. My youngest son is in the process of hopefully purchasing his first home/condo. It is now longer an easy process. They have him jumping through hoops. It's too bad that the banking industry has a bad reputation right now. Due to that fact, they have to watch their P's and Q's. There is no more doing what ever they feel like doing. We will soon see how this all plays out. Labels: Family
