Favorite Food
Posted by Vicky
Everyone has a favorite food. When you are talking about a meal I would have to say that some form of chicken is my favorite. Bill enjoys shrimp, but doesn't have it as much as he would like. As far as desserts go I really like chocolate. I made a dessert last week that had brownies in it. Wow, it was great. Monster cookies are also a favorite in our house. In fact, we plan on making some for the upcoming weekend. Why do I always seem to have food on the mind?!
Fence Installation
Posted by Vicky
Our children's lives are changing. They are all three finding new homes and are relocating. We will be spending time helping them move and unpack. Often with a new home you can find yourself making some needed improvements. With two of them having small children, they may be looking at fence installation in their yards. Safety is a must and a fenced yard is helpful. We'll have to see what's in store. Labels: Family
A Year For Golf
Posted by Vicky
I started golfing for the first time just two years ago. I enjoy it but I'm not totally into the game like Bill is. Right now he is watching golf on television. I don't like the sport that much. I would rather play the game. Nine holes at a time is enough for me too. Bill, on the other hand, likes to play as many holes a day as he can. He has played as many as 81 holes in one day. It was on a 9 hole course that he grew up on and he enjoyed it so much that he talked about it for days after.
Fence Installation
Posted by Vicky
Many years ago when we moved into our home, we talked about the changes we might make in our home and yard. Many of those we have completed. After over twenty five years of living here, we still have things we may do differently. We have often thought that some type of fence installation would be nice. Not only for the kids, but also for the dog. Now with having grand children, it is in our thoughts once again. Who knows. Labels: Home
Apple iPhone
Posted by Vicky
I was recently watching a YouTube video about the Apple iPhone. It is an amazing phone! My youngest son recently purchased one and was sharing some of what it could do. We sat there for quite sometime while he maneuvered around and was able to find about anything I needed him too. We will be taking a trip in the future and he was showing me the GPS system it has and all that it offers. WOW! It is a phone that when looking for a sale, you will want to check out it's options. It is so worth it! Labels: Technology

Grandchildren

Labels: Family, Grandchildren
I have twins who are all grown up with families of their own. The story of their lives is quite unbelievable. Several years ago they surprised us by getting married just eight days apart. We couldn't convince them that they should have a double wedding. Then about two years ago they both came to us saying that they were expecting our first grandbabies and were due just one day apart. Could it happen again? Well, yes! Recently our son said that they were now expecting their second child. Then a few days later our daughter showed us what their daughter Kaelyn was wearing. The shirt said "she is going to be a Big Sister"! What?! Really?! Yes it's true. The two girls are due just three days a part. They never cease to amaze us! We are sooooo thrilled!

Spring is just about here! We are so ready for it. It has been a long and cold winter for us this year. One of the things I look forward to in the summer time is all of the fresh fruit. That sounds so good right about now. You can find some fruit available now, but it just doesn't have that rich full flavor that you find later on in the year. Soon enough we'll have it!
Bath Time

Labels: Grandchildren
It's bath time. This was a recent picture of my grandson Emry. He looks like he was having a great time in the tub. I remember my children always enjoying the bubbles. Today they have such neat tub toys. I purchased some floaty toys and the alphabets that stick to the side of the tub once they are wet. The kids love them. It doesn't take a lot to entertain them at this age. :)

Campfire Breakfast
Posted by Vicky
Labels: Family
Do any of you enjoy camping? We did a little bit of it with our children and they seemed to enjoy it. Our son Josh and his family recently decided to give it a try. Diana said that she was going to make breakfast over the campfire. She took an orange and cut it in half. Cleaned out the center and put scrambled eggs in one and blue berry muffin mix in the other. Covered them in foil and put them over the fire. It made a yummy campfire breakfast for them. Di had a big helper also. :)
