Losing Weight For Summer

It seems this is the time of year when you hear more about the diet pills out there. I can't flip a tv channel or walk down the isle at Walmart without seeing an ad of some sort. I suppose it's because summer is around the corner and people are wanting to get back in shape for swimsuit and shorts weather! That makes sense! Although I'm not very familiar with some of the weight loss options out there like Anoretix for example, I do think it's great that there are options for people. As long as they're safe and effective it's definitely something to look into.
Landscaping Season

This is the time of year when you see people out landscaping and the beauitful flowers they're planting. Bill and I have started to do a little around our house and so far it's looking great! I've enjoyed planting the flowers but now am concentrating on the outdoor lighting and getting things finished. I don't want to have to be working on it all summer....it would be fun to enjoy the flowers and landscaping some too.

My husband and I have enjoyed watching American Idol together for the past few years. This year was no exception. We were very excited to see Danny Gokey and Kris Allen in the top three. They will both do well I'm sure. Here is an awesome video of Kris singing! Go Kris! God Bless You!
Mesothelioma

Recently I have gone through watching my dad diagnosed with cancer and his having surgery. He is doing well and the prognoses is great. We are very thankful for that. There are some that are not as fortunate. mesothelioma is a cancer they are finding that is caused by asbestos. It's good to know that there are sites that can assist you with finding doctors and treatment centers in your area. Cancer is becoming more common place and we must all learn to protect ourselves. Our grand daughter Kaelyn is always wanting to play with mommy and daddy's computer. She feels left out when they are both on their laptops. Well, while my daughter and I were out shopping last weekend we came across this Barbie computer. It is so cute. Kaelyn love it! She now feels like a big girl, working along side mommy and daddy. :)

Isn't is something the way kids begin so young? They want to help their mommy and daddy's with the household chores. My grand daughter Kaelyn, loves to help her mommy fold the laundry. I'm not really sure just how much help she actually is, but she tries. It is cute to watch them.

We recently moved our youngest son into his first home. It is so much fun to help him decorate and change the appearance of each room. The latest is transforming the bathroom.

Flowers are always welcome! I had a wonderful Mother's Day. My children are all so thoughtful. I received some nice things, but most of all I got to talk with each one of them. Here are some flowers my youngest son Jake gave me. :)

Stereo Cabinet

While moving our youngest son a few weeks ago, we found that he was in need of some new things. He tossed out some old furniture and bought some new. He was looking at a stereo cabinet. He would like to have it in his bedroom. There are many choices out there today. It's hard to know what look you want for sure. His place is coming together and looking great.

Children are such a joy to watch. The smallest things can excite them. Why can't we keep that same attitude through out life. I think I'll try to work on that. This is our grandson Emry. He was so excited to find a special treat in his shoes!

Empty Space

There is an empty space in our back yard since we removed an apple tree last year. It looks a bit odd not to have that tree. It provided shade and produced great apples. The problem was that we needed that space to build a garage. We might not build until next year, but wanted to have the tree gone well in advance. Bill has wanted a garage for a long time. I have let him think that I really didn't want one. However, I too have always wanted a big garage in the back yard. It will be great to get all of the tools, mower, bikes, hoses, cords, trash cans, golf clubs and every thing else out of my attached garage and into the other one. Yeah. Labels: Home
Garage Door

Our garage door has been having problems. It was one that had the springs on each side which would tend to break every few years. It didn't fit tight and it was noisy due to the rollers within the tracks. Today we had a new one put in. It is a white raised panel door made by C.H.I. Overhead Doors. It looks and fits great! Bill was going to put in a new one himself, but I decided to have this one installed so he didn't have to do the work. We are glad to have it done. Labels: Home

Yum! Yum!

When I have the time to, I sure do enjoy sitting down with a cup of coffee. I have tried to cut back and do not drink as much of it as I use too. Often my husband and I will take a trip to a larger city for the day and when we do, we love to grab a turtle frappe cappuccino, for the road. Well, now there is a Cabin Coffee right here in our little town. That is so awesome! I drink strictly decaf, but love that chocolate and carmel flavor. Labels: Food
