There is nothing quite like having a great sister! I am blessed to have a twin sister. We have always been close. We live about two hours apart, but continue to stay close. I recently went to stay with her and her husband for a weekend. At least once a year we get together like that. We had a wonderful time! We always eat good and take a day to go shopping. We talk until our throats are dry. The time goes way to fast that is for sure. We've decided that we need to do this more often. I think it's a good plan. Labels: Family

Over the years we have owned several different computers. Now with having an online business I find it necessary to have a laptop as well as a desktop. I feel I can work faster on desktops. Laptops are a little bit harder to type on. They are convenient however. I can't imagine not having our computers. What did we do without them?

Throughout the years my husband has enjoyed exercising and running. He did some research on Mp3 players so he would have something to listen too while working out. Bill has a cousin who lives out in Virginia. We have never traveled out there, but would like to someday. I have gotten to know Celine better over the past year due to Facebook. What a great way to stay in touch and share photos. It was great to see them when they traveled back to the Midwest this summer!

Summer time is a great time to visit with family and see loved ones that have not been around for awhile. Recently Bill, Jake and I met with some cousins and an aunt and uncle for dinner. It had been over a year since we had seen them. We had such a nice visit and the weather was perfect.
School

I know many people don't want to hear this, but school starts in less than one month in many districts. Wow, where has the summer gone? Time flies, as they say. The corn has grown tall and bean fields are looking good. Detasselers started work today. Before we know it, harvest will be here. Many of our friends have been on vacation over the past few weeks. We were gone for a short time too and had a great time!

Kaelyn and Emry had a great time playing with each other this past weekend. They are only just over 20 months old, but have become buddies. Kaelyn apparently didn't want to go to sleep Sunday night, wondering where everyone was. She had so many people around her during the weekend that she got used to the company. In the morning she was asking about Emry. How sweet is that?
Kids At Play

Many of the neighbor kids are out playing tonight. Some are on bikes and some on skates. It is nice to see them having a good time in this nice weather. I remember when our kids were at that age and would play outside until dark. We have a park and the school area that they can play at also.

The Night Flies By

Our evenings at home seem to fly by. It isn't that we don't get a lot of things done in the evening, but by the time we are finished we are ready to relax. Many times it will be 9 o'clock before we sit down and chill a bit before bed. Tonight would be great night to sit out on the deck and relax, but I have too many chores to get done. Maybe tomorrow night will be more relaxing.
Garage

Bill has wanted to build a garage in our back yard for several years. I was never a big fan of this project until recently. I think I now want the garage more than Bill does. We have so much stuff in the single garage that could be stored in the new one. I told Bill we should start building soon. I think he was a bit surprised. Labels: Home

Just What I Needed

When I got home from work I took a nap. It may have been short but it was just what I needed. I feel refreshed and ready to get some things done around the house. It is amazing how just a little sleep can make such a difference. Bill doesn't seem to need as much sleep. He just goes and goes.
Stretching Machine

Bill came home from the YMCA the other day and told me about a machine they have that gives you a great stretch. He had been having some leg and back pain from a recent twisting of his back. This machine seems to be helping him stretch his back and hamstring areas. I plan on checking out this machine too the next time I go to the Y.

Working Out

Bill and I have been trying to keep up with our physical work outs. He as always been better at that than I have but I am getting better. It takes quite a lot of good mental attitude as well as physical stamina to continue our exercises. As we keep at it, I am sure we will lose weight and get in better shape.

Faster Internet

We recently signed up for a different internet provider. At first we had a terrible time with the internet dropping its signal. We called repeatedly and really didn't get satisfactory service. We bought a new wireless router which seemed to help. We are supposed to have faster internet with this company. When it works, I think that it is faster. Someone from their company is supposed to call us but then, that was to have been weeks ago. Not really happy with the service we have received from the new provider.

The I Believe Bunny Book Review

I recently had the opportunity to review The I Believe Bunny book from Thomas Nelson Publishers and am so happy that I did! What I thought was so great about this book was that it helps to teach children to put their faith into action and how great the power of prayer really is! Nothing is impossible with God and this is a message which is clear throughout this precious story. I think it's a terrific message for a child of any age. In fact, I found it encouraging even as an adult!!
The pictures in this book are truly amazing! I know any young child would absolutely love the colors and the life it brings to the story. I am SO excited to be able to read this story to my two grandchildren and to have it for many years! It's one that will be enjoyed over and over again! Between the message, the rhyming in the story and the beautiful pictures...I definitely give this book 5 stars! Check it out if you haven't already...you won't be sorry you did!
