It won't be long now and we will be spending some time with our grand daughter, Kaelyn. Her mommy and daddy are trying to get a lot of things done around their home before her baby sister or brother arrive. Her mommy is due in about 10 weeks. We are going to go pick her up right now. She will be spending the night with us! It should be fun!!
The Jesus Book Review
Posted by Vicky
I am so thankful that my Grandkids enjoy reading books. I recently had my granddaughter visiting for a couple of days and she continually asked me to read with her...it was great! It's so important to read books to kids that are encouraging and positive. That's the main reason why I liked The Jesus Book so much when I got it. I am so grateful to have had the chance to review it, thanks to Thomas Nelson Publishers! It is a book I can see myself reading to my Grandchildren for many years to come!
If you haven't read The Jesus Book yet, you should! It's a terrific who, what, where, when and why book. I like how it gives children a look into Jesus' life in a way that they will understand. It's probably a book geared towards children in Preschool and older, but I know my 1 year old Granddaughter really enjoyed it as well! It was very informative and the pictures were great as well! It kept her attention and was one she enjoys reading over and over again! The 30 song CD was an added bonus and something I look forward to using with my Grandchildren as well!
Family

We are so blessed to have all of our family close by. Within 2 hours we can see any of them. This is our oldest son's family. Josh, Di, Emry and Israel (on the way) are now living closer. They use to live in Texas and we would only get to see them a couple of times a year. So we are so thankful!
Medical Marijuana Colorado
Posted by Vicky
It's sad to see, but we are all fully aware of the many health issues that are facing people today. With those issues comes new research on methods of hopefully helping those individuals. Splashed across the news has been the discussion of Medical Marijuana Colorado and other states and their use. Of course there is great controversy in this area. I have found a website, medicalmarijuanagroup.com that is a great online source of information dealing with this topic. Here you can find consumers who have experiences with this medical drug. You will also see that there is a vast difference from state to state in the laws governing this drug. Check it out for yourself. Labels: Health
New Car
Posted by Vicky
We recently bought a new car. Actually it is not new but it is to us. It is a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Luxury. It only has around 44,000 miles and has almost all options. Even with the 8 cylinder engine we average around 18mpg on the highway. We traded in our pickup which was a 2001 GMC. We are very pleased with our purchase.
DenTek Fun Flossers
Posted by Vicky
Having been in the dental field for many years, I have seen a lot of changes. There is now something new on the market in the area of flossing. They are called Fun Flossers by DenTek. This company recently sent me a free bag to try. What's great about this product is that it is child user friendly. Its' a great kids floss! They are not your typical spool of floss that you have to try and twist around your fingers. The easy to hold angled flosser can assist in doing that thorough job we all need for our oral health. They are colorful and the floss is fruit flavored. Your kids are sure to find them fun to work with. They won't even realize that they are actually learning those health habits early. Pick up a bag soon and give them a try. You can all enjoy the benefits as a family. I've enjoyed trying them and will be compensated for this post, however my honest opinion was given and not swayed in anyway. Labels: Health
Vail Hotels
Posted by Vicky
I spend quite a bit of time on the computer. I am often searching sites for vacation locations. I was recently looking at Vail hotels in the Colorado area. We haven't spent a lot of time in Colorado and thought it might be fun! The beaches and sunshine seem to always call my name however. We'll have to see where we end up. Labels: Travel
Perfect Weather
Posted by Vicky
The past week has been almost perfect weather. It has been sunny and fairly warm in the day, but cool enough at night that we can leave the AC off and open windows. As long as we don't have bugs or smoke coming in the house, I do like to have the windows open. Soon enough people will be complaining about the winter. I am going to enjoy the current weather and try not to think of the harsh winters. Labels: Weather
Acnepril
Posted by Vicky
While raising our three children, we came across moments when we were not always sure as to what we should be doing. I think that is pretty common. One of our children dealt with an acne issue. Of course we wanted to address it quickly as to save him from scaring and build up his confidence. With the internet it is easier then ever. You can research and read about products such as Acnepril and other types of solutions. Technology has sure changed. Labels: Health, Technology
Equestrian Apparel
Posted by Vicky
Have you ever wondered where people purchased their horse riding apparel? It's not like you can just walk into your local mall and find these clothes. While I was net surfing I came across equestrian apparel. A specialized site with horse riding apparel and horse equipment. So if you are in need of these specialized items, here is the site for you! :)
Car Search
Posted by Vicky
I can't say that I really enjoy the search for a different car. Bill, on the other hand, loves to car shop. He will drive through every car lot that he can. He would like to trade cars every couple years if he could. We don't usually wear a car out before we either sell it or trade for another one. I think the best thing is to run it until it is dust before getting another.

Fitness Equipment
Posted by Vicky
It is common today to hear more about healthier living. Of course what we eat and how much we eat is very important. Along with that comes exercise. Some people choose to join a YMCA or other type of gym. While others prefer to purchase their own fitness equipment. I am one that would rather stay at home and exercise. To each their own I guess. Quick Wit
Posted by Vicky
I know some people who are very quick witted. They can tell the greatest jokes. I laugh so hard when they are on a roll with their jokes. I can never remember most of the jokes that I hear. These people seem to recall every one of them. Maybe they just sit around each day and practice.
Treadmill
Posted by Vicky
Well, we are at it again. Bill and I are trying to watch our eating while incorporating exercising. We know that we must eat healthier and also not such large quantities. I enjoy using the elliptical, while Bill enjoys the treadmill. I'm glad we are trying to make some healthier choices. Labels: Health
Bathroom Faucets
Posted by Vicky
One area we worked on quite a bit in our home, was our upstairs bathroom. It was definitely time for a change. I began with the choosing of a new shower curtain. From that choice came other new and creative ideas. We had a custom vanity built and added new bathroom faucets. Of course we needed to update the flooring. We are enjoying the new face lift that has transformed. Labels: Home
Shipping Box
Posted by Vicky
In working on our home, I found that we had a lot of items that we no longer wanted to keep. Now it was the decision as to what to do with everything. My daughter started to sell some things and soon found that it was not as easy as you might think. She had difficulties in finding just the perfect shipping box for items. We soon held a rummage sale which took care of getting rid of most of the stuff.
Gas Mileage
Posted by Vicky
Our vehicles don't get great gas mileage ,but it isn't terrible either. I think we are so used to paying higher gas prices that we really don't keep close track on mileage. One of the cars is a six cylinder and one is an eight. There isn't a lot of difference in fuel economy between the two. You would think that the six would out do the eight by a long shot, but that isn't the case. It does get a little better mileage ,but that is to be expected. Labels: Vehicles
TV Deals
Posted by Vicky
About a year and a half ago we decided to begin redoing our home. Changing and updating the look. With that came the decision to purchase a few new TV's. We began our search for great tv deals . We have been very happy with our purchases. Each one is suited well for the space that they are in. Labels: Home
Best Wrinkle Cream
Posted by Vicky
Life is great and I'm going to enjoy it! As I have grown older I have watched my skin change. In my thirties I began to see signs of aging. I researched and tried what I considered to be the best wrinkle cream. We all want to slow down the aging process or at least stall it a bit. Creams do help.
Best Acne Treatment
Posted by Vicky
Raising three children was fun and interesting. They are all so different and each had their own challenges. During the adolescent years we found that one of our children had a bigger issue with acne. We researched to find the best acne treatment for him. It paid off because he now longer deals with the problem and has no scaring besides. I'm thankful for great treatment. Labels: Health
Cat Supplies
Posted by Vicky
My youngest son decided he needed a companion. He checked into a dog, but decided that maybe a cat would be easier. He could leave it home for longer periods of time. After choosing a cat, he quickly found out just how many different cat supplies he would be needing for his new hairy friend. He loves his Mylie!
