Being a grandparent has to be about the best!! Our daughter and her husband had their second child this past week.
Kaden Scott is a beautiful baby boy! He has a big sister Kaelyn who just turned two a few weeks ago. She is as proud as she can be! We also have another grandson due here any day. Our son and his wife are anxiously awaiting his arrival along with us! We are very blessed....
Video Making
Posted by Vicky
My son is great with computers and recently got a new one. He has all the applications to make videos and was thinking about film making. What do you think about this as a title for a new movie? Why won't a charge disrupt the varying mystic? I thought it was very different and wanted to know what you thought.
Brothers

Recently we were able to get together with some of Bill's family. It was at the funeral of his mother. Though a sad occasion, it was nice to see his brother and his family. Bill only has one brother. His dad passed away 3 1/2 yrs ago. So now it's just the two of them.
Pond Supplies
Posted by Vicky
My daughter and her family moved up to Minnesota. They have a wonderful lake up there. We have spent quite a bit of time playing on that lake. With boating, skiing and jet skiing. It takes a lot to keep lakes and ponds in good shape. Good thing the recreational board are able to find lake and pond supplies to assist with the process.
Insurance Quotes
Posted by Vicky
With the economy in the shape it is in today, we find it more important then ever that we are properly insured. None of us wants to come across a huge insurance problem. It is easier then ever to find insurance quotes and compare whether or not you can save yourself some money. My husband and I recently did this and found that we could save over $500 a year. Was definitely worth the time spent. Labels: Insurance
Dark Circles
Posted by Vicky
With age it becomes harder and harder to hide certain things. I have found from dark circles under eye to a wrinkled forehead. It all comes with growing older. Even with sufficient sleep I will notice my eyes appearing tired. It just takes more time and effort to look refreshed. I guess that's OK. I don't mind taking the time.

Max Lucado's The Tallest of Smalls Book Review
Posted by Vicky
Max Lucado books are a favorite of mine. That's why I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review The Tallest of Smalls thanks to Thomas Nelson Publishers! The Tallest of Smalls is a parable from Max Lucado's Fearless, and discusses what to do if your child is feeling small or insignificant in this giant world they are living in. When I first received the book in the mail, the first thing that caught my attention were the great pictures!! Reading it to my 2 year old granddaughter, I could see this is what caught her attention the most too. I love the colors and illustrations! The book also teaches an important lesson as we walk with Ollie through his journey in this book. He had a need to feel wanted and realized that God made him the way he is for a reason and that because of Jesus' love he is who he needs to be and that's what makes him special.
I would definitely recommend this book to any family with children. I think it's important that when children are feeling that desperate need to be wanted, that we are able to share with them that it's not necessarily what the populars think of us, but who we are in Jesus and that's what makes us special. I think it would probably be easier for children preschool age and older to understand, but know that young children would enjoy it as well.
*The book for this review was provided for free by Thomas Nelson Publishers. My honest opinions were given and not influenced in any way *
Text Alert System
Posted by Vicky
Technology has sure changed. It is amazing the variety of ways we have to communicate with one another. Now with the internet, emailing, faxing, texting and more, we are sure to stay in touch with friends and family. A text alert system is also another new and advancing way to stay up on the latest. It's great to keep in touch. Labels: Technology
PDAs
Posted by Vicky
My husband got a new PDA/smartphone. Now he can begin to get his life more organized. PDAs are great technical tools to assist in doing that. He can store phone numbers, use the calender, enjoy music, have a handy camera at all times and more. It will be a great addition to his busy life. Labels: Technology
