Max Lucado's Antonio Meets His Match DVD Review
Posted by Vicky
I remember having very choices when it came to finding children's videos with a good message when my kids were younger. Today, it seems there are more choices, but I think it's still important to be picky and only choose those movies that have a good message. I recently had the opportunity to review Antonio Meets His Match, the newest DVD to release from Max Lucado's Hermie and Friends Series. We have one of the other movies from this series and really like it...so I was hopeful that we'd enjoy this one just as much.
Having young grandchildren, it's very important to me that I have a collection of wholesome movies to choose from. After having had the opportunity to watch this DVD, I can tell you that it's one I'm proud to have on my shelf! The kids seem to really enjoy it. I'm not sure how much they got from the message of 'being a good neighbor', but I still feel like some of had to of sunk in. As they get older, it will make even more sense...and loving thy neighbor is an important thing for us all to remember.
I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it was animated very well...it didn't look cheaply made at all! I also liked the focus of the story. Antonio was the head ant in a way, because all the other ants looked up to him. When foreign ants moved into the garden, he wanted them to leave, but God reminded him that he must love his neighbors. It's definitely a hard lesson, but one I think all children should learn and hear over and over again. I would highly recommend this DVD to any parent, or grandparent!
~I received this DVD in return for my honest opinion. This was not a paid post.
