Beautiful Day
Posted by Vicky
Today is almost the ideal weather, clear with temps in the low 80s. It is beautiful outside. I am sure there are people all over enjoying grilling, boating, camping and just having fun in the sun. Bill went for a run this morning and I think he is going to take Zoe for a walk this afternoon. I am glad he mowed the yard on Friday so we can enjoy the day without having to get that job done. Maybe grilling will be on our list to do later today.
Investing in gold
Posted by Vicky
With today's economy many are looking for wise investments and ways to trim their budgets. The gold market still holds it's own. Some consider investing in gold as a safe route. While you buy gold coins you can be storing up valuable commodity that may bring you great return one day. Gold has always been highly thought of as the precious metal of choice. As we see other things dropping in value, this market continues to rise or at least level out. This could be an answer for your retirement nest egg. Golds future looks bright. It may be worth spending sometime to research it. Labels: Investments

Grass Seed
Posted by Vicky
After cutting down the apple tree last year we had a large bare spot in the back yard. Bill put down some grass seed and wow, does it look better! I wasn't even a name brand seed that we used. It was actually quite cheap but it really worked well. I miss the tree but at least we have grass where it used to be. Labels: Home
Scared Dog
Posted by Vicky
Our dog Zoe doesn't really like stormy weather. We are getting fairly heavy rain tonight with some thunder and lightning too. Our lights flickered twice already but I think everything is working again. Poor Zoe sits pretty close to me on nights like this. When she was younger she would sit right in front of the door on stormy nights but not any more. Labels: Pets

Vitamin Supplements
Posted by Vicky
With age my husband and I are experiencing a variety of changes in our bodies. We have begun to do our research and are finding that vitamin supplements as well as other products are assisting us in feeling healthier as well as staying healthy. Each one of us has to decide for ourselves what the best route is for us individually. We are content in what we have decided to do and take for ourselves personally. Labels: Health
Acne Treatment
Posted by Vicky
I really feel for those individuals that suffer with skin conditions. As a teenager many find themselves seeking out some type of acne treatment. It can be increasingly worse for some then for others. Our three children dealt with this problem in different degrees. Our one son had a fairly difficult time with this at one point in his life. He has now moved beyond that stage thank goodness. Labels: Health
Prototype 37c
Posted by Vicky
As I am growing older I find that each season brings new changes. Some of those changes are not so good. The aging process can not be stopped, but some are finding it can be some what reversed or at least slowed down. With the anti-wrinkle serums such as prototype 37c and other products, there have been success stories from some. Most of us are hoping to find ways to stay younger looking for as long as we can.
Online Ordering
Posted by Vicky
I know some people are a bit scared to order things online but it is very handy. To be able to shop for certain items from home is wonderful and such a time saver. Of course there are things that I want to actually see in person before I buy. Whether it is from one of my favorite stores or from ebay, I enjoy shopping online. Give it a try.
Humidifier Filters
Posted by Vicky
Where we live we find it to be quite dry at times. The winter months can be rough on our skin. Humidifiers are a must at times and often assist in feeling healthier and less itchy through out that season. We found that the humidifier filters help keep our unit running smoothly. I guess most things have some form of maintenance if you want to keep them working properly.
Custom Blinds
Posted by Vicky
Over the past months we have started to give our home a much needed face lift. In doing so, we had our windows replaced. We found ourselves shopping for custom blinds. We had new widths in which to work with. Our old blinds had to go. It worked out beautifully and we're very pleased with the results. Labels: Home Improvements
Little Boots
Posted by Vicky
Our dog, Zoe, is a white Bichon. When it rains, especially after we mow the yard, she has to wear little pink booties so her feet won't turn green. The booties are made of a thin vinyl and have velcro straps to hold them on. She has gotten somewhat used to them although there are times when she shakes her feet trying to get them off. I have to admit that she is much better about letting me put them on her than she used to be. Labels: Pets
How to lose weight
Posted by Vicky
Does anyone have the answer to that old time question of how to lose weight? I guess it is probably an individual answer for each one of us. As I grow older I am finding it much more difficult to control the scale or should I say, control me. Food just seems to taste better all the time. It has now become our fun and entertainment in a sense. Weird I know..... Labels: Health
About That Time
Posted by Vicky
Labels: Pets
Our dog Zoe seems to know when it is her lunch or supper time. Right now she is whimpering as I write this. Between 5 and 5:30pm and also at the noon hour, she starts to cry while sitting near the kitchen cupboard. The bad thing about that is, when we have our lunch or supper she will start begging again even though she has already had her meal.
Health Savings Account
Posted by Vicky
With the economy rather shaky right now, people are turning to ways that might save them money with their budgets. I have heard of many who are seeking out new insurance coverage. Some have gone with a health savings account. They feel this is the best route for them financially. We all need to tighten our belts and find what works best for us. Labels: Insurance
Metal Buildings
Posted by Vicky
I was thinking about old friends and remembered how much fun we use to have with them. A group of them worked on metal buildings. They had the neatest set-up. They would travel and install and construct these huge metal buildings. It wouldn't take them long and there it would be, ready for use. They were used for a variety of things, business, farming, garages and more. What an awesome idea!
CSNStores.com Review
Posted by Vicky
Over the past couple of years my husband and I have worked hard to make some updates to our home. It's amazing what a little paint and a few light fixtures can do! While searching for the perfect decor, I came across CSNStores.com and am so happy I did.
For those who are unfamiliar with CSN Stores, they have 200+ online stores to shop from, all in one place! With that many stores a person is sure to find almost anything they could possibly need. It's great because less time is spent browsing the web when everything is so conveniently laid out in front of you in such an organized fashion. As I search their site I find it's very easy to get right to the product I'm looking for. Their categories and user-friendly website aid in making my shopping experience a very pleasant one. Other than their amazing selection, I couldn't be happier with their prices! In comparing with similar items I've seen elsewhere, it seems CSNStores.com not only offers great low prices, but they also have free shipping on many of the items they carry which makes it even better.
I was very happy when I found out I was going to have the opportunity to do a product review and choose something from their 200+ stores to share about with all of you! CSN Stores actually had me go through the ordering process to see how that worked as well. I was very impressed with how easy and hassle free it was. In no time I had ordered the two products I would be reviewing from CSNRugs.com, and within a very short time they were sitting on my doorstep! Their service is great, and shipping took no time at all.

The products couldn't have arrived at a better time! My hubby and I were just getting started with a little remodel of our basement and I knew the Vesuvius 2 Light Wall Sconce in Fresco (Priced at $21.11) would be a perfect addition to our slightly outdated stairwell. What once looked a little bit boring, was instantly modernized as we got our light fixture in place. Between that and the new paint color I am really happy with how great it looks! I couldn't be happier with how much of a change this light has made when we look down the stairs. Aside from the fact that it's very attractive looking, I also found it to be great quality! Having purchased light fixtures from other stores in the past, I can tell you that for the price...I haven't one I like better. I will definitely be purchasing other fixtures from CSN Stores in the future. The only thing I found, was that the color was a little bit different and lighter than it appeared online. It worked out fine though, as it went with the clock hanging below it perfectly.

We also received the New Generation 3204 Cream Contemporary Rug (priced at $35). I have found that accents like pillows and rugs make a huge difference when updating a home. They just add a pop of color to an otherwise simple looking room. This rug stood out to me right away and I thought it would look perfect in our spare room/office. When it arrived I was very happy with the design and quality. For the price you just can't go wrong. It's soft and very modern looking...just what I was looking for! The colors were great too. They were even more beautiful than in the picture online.
I am very pleased with the items I received. Each one offers the quality I was looking for and a price that can't be beat. I would highly recommend others check out CSN Stores for anything they may be looking to purchase online. With over 200+ stores to shop...you're sure to find exactly what you're looking for, and more!
I was not paid for this post and my honest opinions were given. I was provided a $40 promotional code from CSNStores.com to aid in this review.
Mowing
Posted by Vicky
Bill just got done mowing the grass. It always looks great when it is freshly cut. I get teased sometimes because I don't do the mowing. Bill is a sweetheart to never complain about that particular chore. I think he enjoys mowing. The down side to freshly cut grass is that Zoe tends to get green feet when she goes outside. We have to put little booties on her for the first couple days after mowing. She looks cute in them though.
Asset Based Lenders
Posted by Vicky
The economy has sure stirred up many people as well as companies and firms. Financial situations for many are shaky to say the least. It's good to know that it is as easy as sitting down at ones computer to find assistance in your time of need. It is quick and smooth to find asset based lenders and other financial guidance at the click of your mouse. Research only takes some time. Labels: Finances
ps3
Posted by Vicky
As we were raising our children we found that they were each one quite different. They each have their individual interests. When all of the gaming units began coming out such as ps3 and it's competitors, my boys were beside themselves. My youngest was and is to this day a huge ps3 fan! He still treats himself to the latest and newest games. I don't know if they ever grow up when it comes to video games. That's ok.... Labels: Technology
Little Kaden!

Little Kaden is one of our youngest grandsons. He is such a happy little guy. He seems to always be smiling. It reminds me of when his uncle Jake was little. He often had a smile on his little face also. :)
Phentermine
Posted by Vicky
My husband and I got up this morning and went to work in the kitchen. He was making jello and homemade pizza's for supper. I was making monkey bread for breakfast and a chocolate cake for later. Some of our family will be here to visit. We have found that we sure enjoy our food these days. More then we ever seemed to before. With that new issue comes an increase in weight. That's not a good thing. There are drugs like phentermine that can suppress the appetite, or other types of diet pills. Or maybe even a good exercise program along with a healthier diet. We need to learn to eat less. Easier said then done..... Labels: Health
Cell Phone Signal Booster
Posted by Vicky
It's hard to believe that not so many years ago, we were without cell phones all together. I remember our first phone as being heavy and bulky. We could only afford to have one in the family and were allowed 30 minutes a month. Boy, that has sure changed. Now they can come with a cell phone signal booster, internet availability and more. Almost everyone is carrying one these days. Even young children have them. Labels: Technology
Best Weight Loss Products
Posted by Vicky
My husband and I have noticed that with age it has become more and more difficult to keep off those unwanted pounds. Most of my life I didn't really have to even think about weight gain. Staying slim and trim came easy for me. Well, that is no longer the situation. I now find myself looking for the best weight loss products, exercise programs or diets. I still seem to find myself over eating many times. The food just taste better as we get older I guess. Labels: Health
