The Weekend Is Almost Here!

I am so glad we're almost to the weekend. Tomorrow is Thursday which not only means one more work day this week...but just two days til the weekend. We have some things going on, but it will be fun because we get to see a couple of our grandkids and daughter. I'm looking forward to it, as it's been a while since we've been able to spend time with them. Hopefully I'll be able to find some time to relax too. That would be great before starting another work week.

My daughter shared some new pictures of the kids with me today. They are growing SO fast. I can't believe our grandaughter will be 3 and our grandson will be 1...the time just flies. It sounds (and looks by the pictures) like they are sure enjoying the nice warm weather we've been having. They've been spending time outdoors enjoying their pool and running around. I think it's great and that they should enjoy it while the nice weather is here. Soon it will be bitter cold again.

New Carpet

Well finally! We are having new carpet installed this week. We are doing three bedrooms and the back hallway We have had a couple of these carpets for almost 20 plus years. It is definitely time! We worked for hours tonight just to clear one bedroom and tear up the hall and bedroom carpet and padding. What a big job. It will be worth it in the end!
RV Towing

We live in a small community. Every July they have what is called a WIT Rally. The Winnebago motor homes are made here. So in July they hold this Rally where hundreds of Winnebago travelers come to town to stay. It is quite the sight. You see rv towing and much more. There is usually some type of celebrity entertainment through out the week also. It's been going on for many years now.

New Phone

Not long ago I got a new cell phone. It is a Samsung Rogue. So far I really like it. I have a data package with it. I am able to check my email and check the weather or other internet sites. I have some music downloaded on it but haven't really used it for that purpose yet. The phone slides open to expose a keyboard which I like. Bill isn't a big fan of my phone but he doesn't have to use it because he has his own.
Insurance for iPads

Well, both our sons recently purchased the new iPad! They are so excited. Even our little grandson is enjoying the one. He watches his movies on there. Now they have come out with insurance for ipads. I guess it's not a bad idea since they are an expensive investment. I would hate to see something happen to them. I'm sure they would agree with me.
Modern Sofas

Over the past two years we have been updating our home. It has been a lot of work, but so worth it. A gal I work with is now doing the same thing. They recently had new carpet installed and were shopping around for modern sofas for their living room space. It is sounding like it is coming together nicely. I'm anxious to go over and see it! Personalized Footballs

Throughout the years my children were involved in a variety of activities. We enjoyed attending and watching them learn and play. It was exciting to cheer and be a part. The season usually ended with an awards night. You might see personalized footballs, bats or basketballs depending on the sport. We have a lot of great memories!
House Hunting

I never thought that I would ever want to move but I have to admit, I enjoy looking at different homes. We have done quite a bit of house hunting over the years and we always have come back to our home and appreciate it more. Most homes just don't offer as much as the one we have. I would like to have a main floor laundry but I really can live without it. I would also like to have more garage space. Don't tell Bill about the garage thing since that is what he wants too.

New Door

I think we are going to get a new storm door for our deck entry. There is some water damage to the door and it is swelling a little bit. We just noticed it the other day. We like the style of door so I am sure we will replace it with the same type. Moisture from winter weather has taken its toll on the door. Oh well, it is a job that Bill and I can handle.

Calm Night

Last night was very calm outside. We have been getting plenty of rain and it is very pleasant. Bill got the yard mowed the night before and he also sprayed for bugs. I think it helped somewhat. The problem with a freshly mowed yard is that our dog gets green feet when she goes outside. We do have little booties for her to keep her feet clean. I still like this weather better than winter.
Lower Ab Workout

Working out to stay fit is just something we all need to do. I know it isn't always easy but many things in life aren't easy. Ab workouts can make me feel sore but I know that they must be done. There are many different ideas on the best ways to relax. At times I just want to sit and watch something on television without having to think very hard. Other times I curl up and read a book to relax. My ways to relax are not necessarily the same as other people but they work for me.
Fat Burning Exercise

I enjoy working out and trying to keep in shape. There are many programs to help with weight loss and fitness. I go to the local YMCA several times a week but I really want to do more than that. One thing that I have struggled with is my ab workouts. I have tried so many things to help me get the abs that I want that I really can't remember them all. Cigars

Growing up I remember my grandfather smoking a pipe. I think it was a popular thing to do during that time period. My dad, on the other hand, always smoked cigarettes or cigars. Some of the cigars that he smoked smelled pretty good, much better than the cigarettes. As an adult I don't know all that many people who smoke cigars but when I do smell one I think of my dad.
Good Food

We recently went to NYC on vacation. There are so many things to see and do there. It may seem strange but one of the best parts about the trip was the good food. We went to some places that were quite fancy and expensive but also had some great food at some pretty basic and plain little diners. One of the best places was a burger joint called "Five Guys". That was not only great food but also inexpensive and just a fun place! Here is a picture of some of the Cuban cuisine we enjoyed.

Our oldest son got married straight out of college. He found a job in Texas and they moved down there for a few years. While there, they began a family. We have two wonderful grandsons. Josh decided he would go on for his masters degree. What a challenge with being a husband, father and carrying a full-time job. He looked into sites like http://www.bestonlinedegrees.org. Acne Treatments That Work

We have raised three children. They are all now grown and on their own. We found that through out the years our children proved to be all quite different. They had their own interests, concerns and issues. During the adolescent years we were in search of acne treatments that work. We recently took a trip to NYC for a week. We has such a great time! The subway system is set up to be very user friendly. We seemed to find our way around without much help or trouble. We may just have to return again someday.
