For years when we were in need for any type of stereo equipment we would visit the nearest radioshack. No this store carries much more then that. We have found our TV mounts there. With the changes in technology this chain of stores has broadened. My husband enjoys shopping in there also.

Equestrian

Have you ever been to the horse races. I have always liked watching that type of thing on TV , but haven't had the opportunity to see it in person. I've often wondered where they get their equestrian apparel. They always look so sharply dressed. Hopefully someday I'll see them in person.

Color guard flags

A memory I have of High School is about Marching band. I loved to see how they all marched together. The color guard flags were beautiful and the sound still echoes in my head. You could hear the kids practicing bright and early in the mornings. They were dedicated thats for sure.

It will soon be Mother's Day and one of the easiest gift to give is a chocolates gift. My Mom loves chocolate but then do you know anyone who does not like chocolate? I love daisies and did not know they meant innocence. I think flowers are often thought of as a gift for women, however, I find many men are just as pleased to receive flowers, as well. A Day Off

I have a day off work today but I have so many things to get done, it does not feel like much of a day off. Besides cleaning house, I have a hair appointment. Then I also have a doctor's appointment out of town so that takes up quite a bit of time. One good thing though, the wind quit blowing so hard, the sun is out and it is nice and warm. We have had just about every kind of weather, rain, fog, wind warnings, frost and frost warnings and some sunshine once in a while. It is nice to see a beautiful blue sky today with white clouds floating by.

When we were younger and raising our family we always made it a priority to plan a yearly vacation. We made some of the best memories through out those years. Things our children will always remember.

Dog Crates

Our dog Zoe is about 11 years old now. She is a sweet little bichon. We purchased her as a puppy. Back then she had to sleep in what cage at night. Or some might call them dog crates. Once she was trained she no longer used the crate. She now sleeps on a pillow by our bed. She a great dog!

Stormy Weather

Much of the state is getting rain and some severe storms are predicted to the south. Near us it is just nice and gentle rain. I know the farmers are happy to get some rain. Many have been planting for the past week or so. It sure has made the grass grow quickly. We have mowed a couple times this year but we need to again, especially with this rain.

TASCAM Guitars

We have three children. Raising them we found that they were each quite unique and different. They had interests all their own. Our one son loved sports and pretty much only did things that had to do with sports. Our youngest son loved music. When he was quite young he began an interest in guitars. He taught himself how to play and even wanted to make his own guitar. He took an interest in TASCAM Guitars and others. He still enjoys playing.

Metal Buildings

Years ago we had friends that worked putting up metal buildings. They would travel around with their job and then each year would earn fabulous vacations! When ever I see one of these types of buildings, I think of them. People now use them for all types of things. Even for garages.

Do you recall when you were growing up, your mom and dad yelling, turn down that music?! Well in raising three children I found myself doing the same thing. It was nice to have a set of Headphone Amps. Then the child could listen to their music as loud as they wanted to or could stand too. :) I know if left home alone, I enjoy cranking up the music also. It use to be that the bigger headphones were so popular. Then the smaller earbud type came out. Now you can purchase what ever type you like.

Yesterday, as I was making my usual Saturday rounds of errands, I began noticing how many people had satellite dishes at their home and it reminded me that I needed to order direct tv on Monday. I have wanted to do this for a long time. There is so much opportunity for great television viewing and so many television programs that I cannot get right now. I like the option of having several channels offering the same type of program. For instance, when my grandchildren are in town, I would like the older ones to be able to choose from several science or history channels and the younger ones to have some quality educational programs, as well as their popular cartoon channels, to watch. I like the food and cooking channels and the travel and home and garden channels and would love a fine living channel that I do not have now. So I am going to call Monday morning and see if I can’t get that installation scheduled for early in the week so I can set my favorite shows to record while I work and spend my weekend catching up!

It is just gorgeous out!! The sun is shinning and it's almost 80 degrees out! For March in the upper midwest, this is amazing!! I am enjoying our front porch with my puppy dog. We love the sunshine! Hope this weather sticks around now and the snow is gone for another season!

This has been quite a year for me as far as choosing and purchasing many kinds of invitations. It started off with party invitations to our New Years Eve party. I wanted something very special that would catch everyone's eye and the stores did not seem to have anything that caught my eye so I went onto the computer and began checking the Internet for a good place to buy my New Years Eve invitations. I found a wonderful assortment of all kinds of party invitations. Then we had not one, but three new baby arrivals in our family and extended family so that meant choosing baby shower invitations. I did not want them all to be the same, so again I chose the Internet to shop and found just what I wanted. The parties were a big success. My son then got engaged and that meant having an engagement party. There I was shopping for invitations and finding nothing I liked at the store, once again, I chose to shop the Internet but just the right invitations. Of course, they set up their wedding date and that began a round of bridal showers. What was I to do? You guessed it. I got on the Internet and found a beautiful assortment of bridal shower invitations and was able to get the right colors and also the right type of invitation. By type, I mean stock the kitchen bridal shower, personal bridal shower such as lingerie and linens and it was also fun to have a garden and tools bridal shower plus a general shower. We had so much fun planning for each of those. About that time, our son and his fiance wished to send out "Save the Date" cards. I thought that was a great idea as they are being married out of state and it gave the guests time to plan for their trip to the wedding. And last but not least the wedding invitations. They both had ideas of what they wanted so I showed them where I had purchased my invitations, and they were delighted to find just what they wanted. It was wonderful to be able to buy all the various types of invitations in one place. I know there will be more events coming up and I will be back on my computer, ordering online once again.
